Ok...I'm dead beat from today's activities.

It started with on the right foot! >)
Due to the heavy downpour, class was cut short as the trip to the shadehouse to complete transplanting plants from soil-based to hydroculture was cancelled. Hurrahs!

Had a decent conversation with Min Yi as we reminiscise about the past.

And I FINALLY got to watch 4:30.

I was wondering why the critics were raving about it; whetted my appetite. There was this guy who sat on MY seat. Thankfully, the seat next to him was empty. It bothered me for a while- people who know me should know that I'm a bit of a perfectionist, and that applies to this case. I was uneasy about seating in the wrong seat; my thoughts conjuring images of an enraged individual or an usher who would kick me out for being in the wrong seat (I know...a bit too extreme but still, it's plausible)

Anyways, the movie was truly a cinematic gem. I adore the actor who played the protagonist. His acting is so raw and believable that he practically supported the entire movie.

The movie is a genre of its own; a genre-bending movie with elements of fantasy juxtapoxed with doses of reality and dashes of humour. Makes you question whether the entire movie was the boy's whimsical fantasy world or was it real? Which aspects of it were real then?

Clue 1: The boy goes to school...in DECEMBER (last entry in his "diary" was 19/12)
Clue 2: That he managed to procure bottles and bottles of cough mixture. And the doctor can keep prescribing it to him?!

Certain segments of the movie, in particular the "Dream Assignment" struck a nerve within. Everything in school was horrendous to watch.

However, I am truly intrigued as to why Royston Tan did not provide Korean translations. I think that it could have made the movie more understandable. However, it may also make the movie just another form of visual entertainment, not a disguised social commentary on isolation.

I can't stop gushing about the movie. It's too good!

Afterwards, I bumped into my aunt and uncle and we had dinner before we headed back.

And thus the day's journey ends.

I have to hit the drawing blocks to make the concept more marketable etc. Bleh. Have I mentioned how much I HATE the Hort Park.
