It's been a rather fruitful and surprisingly fun week. Sure, I'm getting tired with each passing day and somehow getting so stressed that it's affecting my appetitte but overall, i've been enjoying myself. My inner child reigned control so I've been skipping around als ein toller Kerl. (madman)

So far, I'm dreading soil science which i find very dry and boring. I haven't been reading my 'bible' and memorised some things. I've memorised rather useless things like variegata but NOT the genus nor the species so I think plant taxonomy isn't me. Well, not until I understand what's happening.

The worse lesson is surprisingly landscape design. I was the last one to finish and STILL i'm not satisfied with what I handed in. The materials needed sind zu teuer. (too exp). consider this: price of ONE marker: $5. Amt of markers needed: 21. Not inclusive of the $12.60 scale ruler and $8/+ set squares. Damn. My wallet's so damn light now, I'm misplacing it a lot!

However, it isn't as bad as my other modules which i shared with ppl from other courses. my IAC and IS. ESPECIALLY IS. It's just a bloody crappy english lesson. I mean we were given a bloody grammar test for crying out loud! and yes, my rather obnoxious side appeared. the one who is so damn opinionated. anyways, i shall dread this class so much more than anything else because it reminds me of the ache in my heart- all my english classes. From the free for all debates of sec 2 to the coconut stories of sec 3 and phonetics of sec 4. (of which the last one i've returned back to as'hari)

Doing a project on suicidal youths and climatic problems. Wait...I think i know where the stress is coming from.

Anyways, the class i think i might enjoy is well, hydroponics and floristry (cheem term for flower arrangement). I scored ok for my arrangement but i'm worried i can't do a nice one. I guess perfectionism has its flaws.

My classmates truly remind me of 4/4. Gawd...I miss you ppl so much!!! I think of you when i snack in class. yes, we're allowed to eat during lectures and practicals and such.

My fav place to eat in campus is actually located OUTSIDE Np. It's in SIM. the cafe is so damn affordable! Has nice ambience, super cheap food that's tasty to boot! Well, not as gd as the ones you get from established places but still...the portions are just way too large. (not sure if it's because of stress of adapting or whatever but i now find that i can't eat a lot. and i feel vehemently sick after a few mins of eating. Reminds me of my short-lived episodes...

Poly. Holiday's over. It's time for work but just let me sleep first...

Hey, sorry for the lack of major updates. It's just that i've been busy as of late.

My new classmates are nice. I think we'll click well. Ok, it's more of a lasting wish. Nobody wants to screw themselves up for three years right? I have a feeling that the class will be very much like the 4/4 I left behind. It won't be the same but the similarities are already appearing. Things like coming to class late, joking in class etc. Oh and there's a guy who really really looks like Kenny. Bleh. Same attitude.

The lecturers are, in my humblest opinion strange. I have not met such a soft-spoken man since...pri 3? yup. it's been a long time. still, he didn't set my gaydar off so i'm guessing he's married or my gaydar needs to get updated. Ok, the latter. btw,how DO you go abt updating it? seriously...with metros and mirls prancing ard, everything frm the textbooks needs to be chucked out the window.

Anyways, first day of poly we were already given a project to be completed in about 6 weeks? maybe less. not very sure. i'm terrible with time.

And today, I had a lady lecturer who speaks heavily-accented south indian accent. (that's what my classmates say. i still can't figure out the difference; anjax, help me. haha) Seriously, i can barely comprehend what she's talking about but one thing's for sure. Karma's a bitch. No, not you karmun. i mean karma, threefold laws, whatever you call it.

as many of you know, i have always hated geog. well, partly since i failed in sec 1 due to a careless and regretful oversight. now, after 2 years of refuge, it's come back to bite me HARD on my arse. I'm struggling to comprehend things like weathering, topsoil, soil horizon formation. BLEH!

Anyways, today i was in a rather down mood since i found out that one of my role models, Mr Derek Cher, passed away. So i wrote a tribute poem for him. it's crappy but well...

Goodbye Mr Sunshine

Goodbye Mr Sunshine,
We'll miss your smiles.
Goodbye Mr Sunshine,
We'll miss your laughter,
Goodbye Mr Sunshine,
We'll miss the good times.
Goodbye Mr Sunshine,
We hope you'll rest in peace.

Disclaimer: This is mine!!! Credit me if you wanna use it. Tell me of course!

Yes, although I know him not, he was one of my role models because of his reporting skills as a journalist and as an ex-CNA reporter. And because of his english.

Haiz...I need to stop being so sentimental right?

And can someone please explain to me why the guys look at me like i'm nuts when i say it's just underwear when they glimpsed a girl's panty? Seriously...

Ok, ok. Need to get back to work.

Over and out.

ARGH!!! Nora!!! i'm in a fix! You know i can't decide! I can't even proceed with it! *cries*

anyways, i'm just gonna blog about today rather than submit to Nora. I will NEVER answer! Try asking Karmun, she has an ad for me. i forgot what was written though. All I kow is the person was asexual. Yes, that's VERY important.

Today was exhilirating. Sure, things got off to a rather bland start but with such colourful characters around, i doubt poly life will be boring. heh. One of my lecturers sat next to me. Scary! Hey, especially if you kind of admire the guy...

Oh oh. Made around five friends. (Doesn't break anderson record though. I guess it was because i need a little push before i come out)

Janani, Jay as she prefers to be called according to her friendster profile. Yes, the St Marg operatic singer. Liz knows her. The world is getting smaller! An interesting character, I do believe i've found another sister! and she speaks german! Hurrah!

oh and then there was Clement. Melvin's friend from primary school. And we talked about Melvin. :P He wants to join dragonboat so good luck boy, you'll need it. Come find me when you're all beefed up. LMAO!

Oh and Donald. "Donald as in Donald Duck and Donald Trump". He exudes an easy-going persona. CCA was tennis. but he looks like he belongs more to squash.

Then there was the malay girl, Dian. Heh, can't spell her name properly. We're coursemates in HLm (otherwise known as Horticulture and Landscape Management, and no, it's NOT High Low Milk). Hougang sec. What I find shocking, she says she doesn't have an email yet! Quick! GEt her listed in the Guinness World! And we both don't have CCA!

Oh Yonghui. He's the guy I met at the store and on bus 74. Funny fellow. Seriously, I would say he's v shy. And he's from NPCC. Yikes. Lives in Sengkang.

Best bit? The rest live in Hougang! Mere coincidence or fate? won't think about this yet...

Oh and after the forsm were issued, Janani and I went to the library. I swear it beats RJ's hands down. So sleek and cool! Bestest part? The music and video section! Was practically prancing around there. There was CATS, Faust and so many other titles! And classical music! I was in heaven!

So yeah, looking forward to this Friday. Going to school together. I hope we all meet on the bus. That'll be wonderful.

Und Danke Schoen Frau J fuer das Wasser.

This week had been hectic. Seriously. Yesterday, i had to make a last min presentation to the Thai delegates. One of them thought I was an overaged student, just because I sat with my kids on the floor! WTH right? Still, hilariously, when i stood up, one of them gleefully took my place and asked his friend to take pictures of him! Lol.

And their clothes! *drools* Such nice shiny fabric, rayon I think...such nice colours...(i'm talking about menswear btw. It's such a nice contrast from the plain old drab greys and blues)

Oh I must say, they are very trigger happy! One of them even took pictures of the dustbin! I'm serious.

Today I attended a First Aid workshop conducted by SJAB Zone 2. The superintendent came along. Anyways, it was so fun! It was a very small group so it was practically one on one. Well, mostly.

I suck at CPR. Seriously. So if you ever need help if you're choking, go grab some other guy. I'll just call the ambulance. Still, it was informative and fun. I mean sure, I kept forgetting to do the whole look, listen, feel and go straight to the pulse but still, I now know a BIT on how to do CPR.

Then switched places and learned about bandaging. All my campcraft know how went down the drain. I could barely do a reef knot! Still, it was fun especially since my young male victim was so helpful!

And all that time, i was the official photographer. Too bad I don't have the USB cable...yes, I accidentally brought the school cam home. Yikes.

Oh i better start to prepare mon's lesson plans. I so want to strangle one person whom i've been chasing for 2 weeks for the kid's papers. And not forgetting the EP. Tested up to ten kids and still counting and now she just wants two. TWO! argh. Her business.

I'm now worn out. Gotta catch up on sleep before poly orientation in two weeks time. I'm hoping to chao early so i get to return for extra class.

Hey. Sorry for the lack of updates. been super busy. Anyways, I have a labcoat. It's a freaking L size! I'm a bit upset because M is just fitting. ARGH. Makes me feel so fat.
Anyways, it was...rather interesting going to the poly with my mum. Had a misadventure when she told met to get off the bus ONE long stop before the actual one so we had to freaking walk! Haiz...then debated with her about the usage of laptops. my course doesn't need one but she keeps insisting that maybe the poly could help subsidise the price. So embarrassing...And I was right! :)

Yup. The following days, I've been teaching the kids about community helpers (for p1s) and things we should/should not do (p2). Then have been teaching two kids after school. My gawd. The boy stank because he peed in his pants and didn't tell anyone! So attempted to call it quits but he refuse to change so had to tahan. The smell...*shudders* But i'm glad that they both can read. The other two were absent. Haiz...Furthermore, the EP will becoming soon so I've been up and down chasing teachers for reports and work samples. Bleh. So much so that I was v blur and even thought i lost some kid's work when actually the teach didn't submit it to me. Oh wellz. I've been a klutz lately so yeah, i guess i deserve the whole panic. Ok, wait...I'm just panicky as a whole.

The class dinner was supposed to be held on sun. Then because some ppl said they couldn't make it, we pushed it forward to sat. Then the worst thing to happen is that v quickly, the list of ppl interested and going dwindled down to ten. I just hope the next time, people don't make last minute cancellations. and they remember if they have something on earlier. Sorry to whoever had to face my unpleasant cranky side. hate to be the bearer of bad news. Just do.

I'm getting bored of hundred years of solitude. It seems like a neverending battle. Not to mention it's confusing. No wonder someone at AVEN said I should just skip it. Well, I did. But i must say, the whole book sure got me thinking.

So that just leaves Of love and other demons. A love story between a priest and a girl, believed to be possessed. Then I'm going back to grab more books. Currently, my favourite book from Garcia is Cronicles of a Death Foretold and Love in the time of Cholera.

I wish I can go grab a ticket to watch Jamie Cullums in June. But I can't.
