It's that wonderful time of the year again, with the roads all decked out - this year, it's gaudy gold and so politically correct that it's actually possible to use it for the 4 major festivals. Oh, I wasn't just talking about Christmas. I'm talking about the damn weather- Bitch.

So I'll start from the beginning. I went to the Singapore Garden Festival prior to the BBQ. I swear, everyone who loves all things beautiful NEEDS to go there. It's so fantastic! Too bad my camera sucks so I won't be showing you the pictures I took. But I'll try to scan in the pictures from the official booklet. :)

Anyways, after that, I actually made small talk with Geek in the Pink. He ain't half bad- just that I feel well, the need to distance myself from him! Lol. Mayhaps, we just can't find common ground. I mean how far can a conversation go about "Oh, so do like this semester?" Let me tell you...less than 5 minutes. With your rubbish words like "erm...let's see..." etc, THEN it'll be 6 minutes. I know. I actually timed it. (Just proves how bored beyond belief I was, waiting for the bus to arrive)

Headed to ECP and almost cried. None of my sisters were there! Haha. Okay, and because Yanghan was clad only in boxers...*shudders* So I just relaxed as the guys came and played soccer, in spite of the continual downpour. Even when lightning flashed across the sky, they still played, despite me screaming. I sound like a wet blanket but I can't help it if I keep seeing them charred to perfection.

Thankfully, the rain got me in a nice mood to write. So as I was writing, this "clever" little bugger thought it might be fun to recreate the infamous mentos and coke experiment under the shelter. Now, if the shelter was big enough, I wouldn't have minded. But damn it, I didn't need to get Coke on my clothes. So I kind of shouted at him. It totally marred my entire day. Thank goodness, I was in my warpath mood. It was better understood. Seriously, some people just can't understand sarcasm even when it bit them HARD on the arse. Of course, I still feel sort of guilty that I spoilt his day but it's for the best. Better me than say some of the other guys. I remember the *cough*. Ahem.

So our intention of bbq under the stars become the light of the shelter. Still, the 2-7 bbq was truly a unique experience, all 25 of us or so huddled in one shelter (sharing it with the brats) and yet, we managed to stuff ourselves with satay, sambal stingray and chicken. And all of us were soaked at some point. For me, it was taking Jules and Nadiah from Macs with Shiyun. Haha. Of course, my sis and I met some WEIRD people along the way. And one disgustingly hideous half naked man. He needs a bra mind you. Man boobs, no matter WHAT the size are disturbing ; far more disturbing than erm...bush. Haha.

And thus ended my adventure under the rain. Thankfully, today the weather was better. Managed to reach the Esplanade all dry. :) I went there for Temasek Wind Ensemble concert. It was fine. There were pieces that I felt weren't very good but at times, they surprised me with their mastery. I can't help it if I compare it with Cat High's band...god, when they played Jericho, I swore I was with the crusaders. But kudos for bringing in a touch of nostalgia!

Now I'm off to bed. Duty calls in less than 8 hours and I'm still here.
