I am so thankful that classes were cancelled today. I woke up at noon today in a groggy state of mind.

Did some more cleaning but my room is STILL one humongous mess. Come on, what'd you expect? Of course, I got so tired just repairing my swivel chair (okay, so I just glued the fabrics that were coming off) that I feel asleep until just recently.

More cases of illegal downloading have emerged. Damn it. I can't wait until I'm old and rich enough to leave here for good. It's just that Singapore is getting too authoratative for me. Too much rules and regulations. Sure, security wise, it's been likened to the Geneva of the East but come on, I wouldn't want to trade freedom of speech and some basic human rights for that. If you're still scratching your head, trying to figure out which human right is being curtailed, look no further than an arcane and ancient law inherited from the Brits. The freedom of sexuality.

Oh yes, so I'm digressing. Back to the issue. Stop using Limewire, gnutella, Donkey, Imesh, Kazaa or whatever 3rd party programmes. At least, not for the time being. It's too risky. But then again, download if you want to. It's your choice ultimately.

We are now living in a very tumulous and troubling times. I was rather shaken by NKorea's possible declaration of war a few days back during the UN summit. It's not a thought I would like to entertain but I have a feeling it's something that will be occuring more often as times go by. While I like that apathy is decreasing, it seems strange but I yearn for those days of being sheltered from the world, the days when all most people care about were more superficial things like sales in some departmental store or something.

And I pray Indon fires die soon. I can't stand it already. If tomorrow I have to run or something, I won't. I'll WALK with a facemask on if needed.
