Looking back at my previous entry, some of you may think I'm on some mind addling drug or something; I wish! (Prozac would be helpful at times when the dark cloud looms like a overbearing shadow that blankets the lights)

Hours ago, I did my final bit of volunteering at my pri sch. Conflicting emotions arise as a result- i'm glad that I've done my part but guilty that I'm leaving halfway during the testings. Seriously, knowing that some of them have still not managed to master their letter sounds is incredibly worrying. Will they grow up and be a bane to society? I wonder why then some parents just can't bother to do something for their child's education; perhaps by bringing them to special school if need be, read to them (it's beneficial!). While I'm not pinpointing anyone, I know that this is true; it's practically a global disease along with homophobia, xenophobia, poverty, corruption and what have you. I hope that they will do fine.

Oh yes, I totally have to put this down lest my inner bimbo strangles me and dominates for a month. There was this awesome eyecandy on the bus on the way to school. I never knew baby blue could make one look so sweet! What? I'm on a shoestring budget! (If the person's decent looking, it ain't half bad...kinky slash! haha. Listen to me: Slash is good! :P)

So back to more sane, less idiotic discussions. The whole issue with illegal downloads has made me a bit skeptical, okay...truthfully, it feels so Big Brotherish. How in the world do they track down who downloads what files? If what some say it's true, then if even small fry are caught, does that mean that someone is looking into what we download? (All you closet porn addicts watch out you hear!) How does the R-I-something-something (Seriously, Singapore and its obsessions with acronyms) know which files are music files and which are not? Do they track down dlers who use the conventional ways of using bittorrents or 3rd party software (often filled with plenty of spy and ad wares) like Imesh or Kazaa OR do they track down who downloads what from upload sites like megaupload etc? It's a question that's bugging me incessantly for the past few days. Perhaps I'm being unnecessarily paranoid but come on, think about it. It's kind of like having a stalker. Creepy. (and at the same time flattering)

And back to the all important politics. I'm worried about the increasing Islamophobia in Europe. For those of you who are clearly apathetic, here's the gist of it. Veils may be disallowed because it's a "physical barrier". *rolls eyes*. Seriously, I used to support the idea until I realised that it's a choice. A BLOODY DAMN choice. If Christians can choose to wear or not to wear the cross, then why should a muslim not be allowed to wear a veil? Perhaps she feels more safer behind it?
Who are we to say that we should ban this and that just because we fear the unknown? What next after the veils? The turbans? In an apocalyptic post-911 world, the global community must rally behind the idea of multiculturalism and acceptance. We must make an effort to understand one another and accept that we are all the same beneath our skin. Look past the largest organ and you'll see the same thing underneath. Red blood. No one has white, black, rainbow blood or whatever alternative blood colour right? (With the exception of bizarre medical mysteries) While I understand that we need to prepare ourselves in case of another case of terrorism, we should realise that they are actually laughing thier asses off at the world scaring itself. The more we argue, fight, the more ammunition they have to falsify their claims for the need of a war.

And in a tit for tat for tit incident, the Danes have once again angered the Muslim world. While I disagree with their actions, I am even more ashamed of what some Muslims are doing; throwing Molotovs and stones, rioting and what have you. If we want to present a respectable, positive image to the world (of imminent importance in today's troubled times), shouldn't we be doing the correct thing by condemning whatever acts and have an open discussion about it? And it applies to ALL people. If we disagree on anything, shouldn't we instead be talking about it instead of being apathetic or worse taking "revenge"?

How long more must history repeat itself for us to KNOW that sometimes, by not fighting, it's the bravest and strongest action we can take? That an eye for an eye would only make the world go blind? We've been championing, chanting the world peace mantra that it's practically made a ridicule. Yet, all of us yearn for that day when we can live together in peace and harmony; in a state of near utopia. (Utopia can NEVER exist due to different people's view of it)
So why the hell are we taking such counterproductive actions?

Goodness. Give peave a chance. Don't just sing it. Embrace the message.

Stop this whole fucking war. I'm just sick of it.
