Firstly, to those I didn't manage to contact, Merry Christmas, Happy Hannukah & Qwanzah. :)

So let's start things off. I spent Christmas sleeping away my entire morning & possibly afternoon. I only fully regained awareness of the world around me around 6 plus. I can't help it if the dreary weather lulls me to slumber easily.

I went to Suntec today to help pack things up. Oh goodness, I never realised how much effort it takes to come up with something beautiful- okay, so I had an inkling but seeing it up close, it just struck me.

Made a new friend from Wesley, who's a mutual friend (Darryl's & Martin's lower sec classmate). What a small world. So as we unpacked the Bromeliads (the family which the pineapple is in), I realised that I got pricked by one of them spiny leaves. Bleh. Still stings.

Then packed into some lecturer's car with Ms Tek, Wes, Michael (I sat beside him! hehe) and this other TSO and headed for NP. I think I might HAVE to lose more weight, despite my thin frame. I think I took up quite some space. Oh well. Time to cut back on the food. (And desperately failing each time)

At the shadehouse, Wes and I talked about the German language(he's taking German 101 this sem) and naturally, I get another gross hint that I've lost touch with it. Sure, I can understand some words but I need a refresher badly. I guess next sem, I'll get back in. Dr Koh returned and we started unloading the stuff and arranging them. Of course, being pricked by the ridiculously irritating spines was a given. The shade house, despite its name isn't a great shelter. The rain still managed to pour in. As much as I wish to complain, it didn't make much of a difference. I was already soaked.

After stuffing the pots with the tapered water nozzles and flattening cardboard boxes and other menial tasks, it was time to head home. All in all, there went some 3, 4 hours.

However, nothing could have prepared me for the longest wait ever. If I didn't know any better, I swore my ex classmates practised the IST (Indian Standard Time). I stood with yongyi, my best friend and yee wee (who surprisingly turned up) from 6 to 7.30! A bloody one and a half hours being daft model wannabes at Harbourfront Station. We finally met each other and off we went to Vivo, the shopping mall that may crack seasoned shopaholics.

In the end, only Alvin, Irsyad, Yee Wee, Yongyi and I were there "on time". We only meet Ching yee later. It turned out to be a game of hide and seek when I looked for my dearest house captain. First, the other guys went to the arcade, leaving me and YY behind. When we managed to find her (braving the rain no less), the guys had gone in search of us on level one when we specifically told them that we were to meet at level 3. Bleh. So my poor aching soles were in for a real treat. The escalator from flr 2 to flr 1 was down.

When we finally found the guys, Katie messaged me, telling us that she would be joining us with a friend in tow. I don't mind so we waited. Is Vivo the new Orchard or something? I saw like ex schoolmates (whose names I cannot remember) to friends and such.

Firstly, some backgrd info: Katie is this ultra tall woman who towers practically everyone for as long as anyone can remember. So having met her after 5 LONG years, it wasn't a complete surprise she's blossomed nicely; I mean it's in her genes for crying out loud.

Anyways, she got her Mexican friend, Ernesto or something to join us for dinner. And as we had our dinner (or in Irsyad's case, the FIRST meal he's had for the day), we started reminiscing. I guess it doesn't come as a shock that I can barely connect names to faces. They started spouting all these familiar sounding names but I just couldn't pin them down. And they were my classmates for God's sake. I think if I don't make an effort to look through the yearbooks at least annually, come 6 months from now, I wouldn't be able to remember some people. Come 5 years, I'll be going, "Do I know you?"

It was some fifteen minutes later I FINALLY managed to get pin a vague face to a name.

And he was supposedly quite close to us. I totally cannot remember his name now though. Let's hope I don't age too rapidly mentally. (I'm already 32, 33!)

Me, being me, I got all excited and people gave me this "nutcase?" stare. Heh.Sorry if I embarassed you guys. But I'll always leave a strong, deep impression no?

We headed to the arcade to play some pool, air hockey, Time Crisis 2 and some trivia quiz machine thingie. I'm typically not an arcade person but still, I managed to enjoy myself.

So for the next class outing, or chalet if yongyi has his way, I have better get myself prepared. Now...where the hell did I put those ridiculously hideous and embarassing Pri sch photos?!
